6 students have completed Ph.D. Guiding over 8 candidates in
various vital areas for their Ph.D program.Undertaken
research studies for India Development Society and for several
other organizations.

Current Research And Consultancy.
Presently undertaken post-doctoral research work on the areas
of ‘Impact of New Economic Environment on the Role of Chief
Executives.’ This is a study spread over four sectors
namely Information Technology, Banking, Textiles and other
miscellaneous where in totally over 20 Top Executives (CEOS)
are to be interviewed. 10 interviews have been completed work
is sponsored by Forbes Gokak Ltd. The executives include
Shri.Nandan Nilekani of Infosys, Shri.Ratan Tata, Shri.K.V.
Kamath of ICICI among others.
Presently engaged in arranging several Human Resource
Development programmes for students, teachers and non –
teaching staff. Special Executive development training
programmes are also being conducted for business and industry.
Special Attainments (recent).

Paper on HRD strategies for emerging century accepted and
selected for special recognition presentation at AIMS
conference at Trivandrum in 1995.

One of the Ph.d student awarded Shri. T.C.I.Agarwal
fellowship of Rs 20,000/- for best thesis design amongst
50 entries received from all over India.

He
is presently a senior lecture at Kousali Institute of Management
Studies. He has done B.E in Mechanical Engineering and MBA
from Karnatak University, Dharwad. He has also a PG Diploma
in Merchant Banking and Financial Services. He has done his
Phd dissertation on the subject of Human Aspects of Mergers
and Acquisitions. He has undergone the faculty development
program management from IIM Ahmedabad. He has attended faculty
development program at prestigious institutions of India like
MDI (Gurgaon), IIM (Bangalore), XLRI (Jamshedpur), EDI (Bangalore)
etc. he has presented more than 8 papers at prestigious National
and International seminars.
Shri
H.N.Shivprasad has delivered lectures at many institutions
and universities. Shri Shivprasad is involved in teaching
subjects like security analysis and portfolio management financial
services etc. He has keen practical interest/expertise in

Shivappa is presently the lecture at Kousali Institute of
Management Studies, Karnatak University, Dharwad. He obtained
B.Com and MBA degree from Mangalore University,Mangalore with
first class. After obtaining the Master degree, he worked
as guest faculty in the dept of Business Administration, Mangalore
University, Mangalore. Dept of Business Administration, Kuvempu
University, P.G.Centre, Davangere to MBA students for 2 years.
He had attended many Faculty Development Programmes including
the Executive Education Programme conducted by Indian Institute
of Management, Bangalore.
At
KIMS he teaches management accounting, financial management,
merchant banking and financial services, international financial
management etc. he is currently undertaking doctoral research
on “Management of Finance in Universities- a case study
of Karnatak University, Dharwad”.
