OUR University

Karnatak University established in the year 1949 is one of the very few Universities awarded with the Five Star status by NAAC. It is the highest award and is one of the first Universities to be rated among top 13 Universities in the country. Over its long span of existence the University has contributed many men of national and international eminence.
The University spread over 740 acres, is endowed with rich nature and is besieged by dense foliage. Such tranquil atmosphere of the University has provided an impetus to the spirit of performance amongst the students.

Established in the year 1976 as a University Management Department to impart quality Management education in North Karnataka, Kousali Institute of Management Studies (KIMS) has since its inception always aspired to be a B-school with a difference. The institute has ceaselessly strived to produce professionals with erudition backed by high moral and ethical standards.
 
KIMS as a learning community is a “Family” where participation, teamwork, interdependence and communication prevail. Kousali Institute of Management Studies, Dharwad, one of the top ranking B-Schools in India presents its Management fest - “Kshitij”; an event that provides an opportunity for interaction and shared learning between management students and the industry. Kshitij is open to management schools from all over the country and has traditionally attracted participation from the top B-Schools in the country.

Mount Everest (Ice breaking)

It is the event which helps the participants to break the barriers to create their own identity among others and also creating a brand image for themselves.

Great Barrier Reef (Best Manager)

It is the most prestigious and most rigorous event at Kshitij. It tests the leadership skills of the contestants, their Managerial abilities, their Business and Inter-personal Skills as well as the Personal Orientation of the contestants.  

Para-cutin (Business Quiz)

It is a battle of brilliance where knowledge built over years. The team-work, on the spot thinking and pure intellect will be put to test.

 

Grand Canyon (Marketing Game)

Playing strategy games is all about priorities. The game demands analytical skills and coolheaded tactics as the participant must balance the relation between resources and various elements in the game.

 

Aurora (Finance Game)

The quintessential Finance game that challenges participants’ intellect and draws on their ability to balance risk, uncertainty and dynamic market environments to garner maximum pay-offs.
 

Rio-de-Janeiro (HR game):

“People Management” is the most crucial task, explore the opportunities to show your talents and get the best out of yourself. Prepare yourself to the new challenges of human resource management and develop new strategies to be on the competitive edge to manage people in the best way.

 

Victoria Falls (Culture Event)

This colorful event provides a platform for building managers to show their innate talent.

INSTRUCTIONS

>> Events are open to MBA students from all over India. A team shall consist of maximum 10 members.
>> Last date of submission of registration form or participant conformation is 12th Jan 2007.
>> Registration fee of Rs.1500/- per team for the two-day event may be in cash\Demand Draft. D.D should be drawn in favor of Management Association KIMS, Karnatak University Dharwad to reach us on or before 12th Jan 2007.
>> Rs 1000/- is additional for accommodation if required & it must be confirmed on or before 12th Jan 2007 along with your registration.
>> Limited accommodation will be provided for outstation participants on first come first serve basis.
>> The teams are required to report at the venue by 8.30 am on 23rd Jan 2007 irrespective of time of event.
>> Participants are required to carry College ID cards for their identification.
>> Dress code is formal
>> Decision of the organizers & the respective judges will be final and binding.
